PERKform Origin Story

I have been fortunate enough to witness and participate in the technological advancements of this fascinating era. While I take great pride in these advancements, I am not oblivious to the challenges they bring.

In the past, I worked for a company whose mission statement deeply resonated with me: “Enriching lives through communications.”

Not only do I believe that technology enriches lives, but I have also experienced it firsthand however, as time went on, I couldn’t help but notice the negative impacts of this technology as well. Families became disconnected from each other, engrossed in their phones even when gathered around the dinner table, and the rise of anxiety and depression caused by the social media frenzy. Getting mad at technology didn’t seem right to me and it became apparent that it was our own lack of tools and skills to handle it effectively and mitigate the negative effects.

When I observed myself and my colleagus struggling with the stressful work environment. I questioned why the very individuals contributing to the mission to enrich lives felt depleted.

Vision & Philosophy - PERKform

Our Vision

Transforming organizations into sources of fulfillment and spaces for self-expression

Our Philosophy

Self-expression is the key to fulfillment, happiness and peak performance

Our Mission

Making 'Happiness' every organization's strategy for peak performance and employee engagement

Vision & Philosophy - PERKform

We believe that happy employees make society better. Our core philosophy is centered around authentic self-expression, which has the power to transform lives.
By embarking on a journey of self-discovery, people gain a deep understanding of their true passions, values, and strengths. Through self-expression, they authentically share their unique voice and talents with the world, leading to individual happiness and fulfillment. This inner happiness ignites their performance and drives both personal and organizational growth. Self-expression allows people to be authentic at work, which leads to increased employee engagement as well as diversity of ideas and skills within teams.
A big part of our lives is spent at work, which sets the tone for the rest of our day. When people are happy at work, it has a positive impact on society as a whole. That’s why we’re committed to helping people discover and express their true selves at work

Self awareness and discovery precedes self-expression

This involves finding your purpose, discovering what puts you in the state of flow and taking on challenges that make growth enjoyable. If you are a nerd who’d like to dig deeper into the “Why” of our philosophy, read it here

Why Self Expression:

Everything in the universe is in a constant state of flux. This includes both the external world around us and the world within.
Attempting to halt this natural flow can be damaging while allowing things to flow uncontrolled can also be detrimental to our well-being. Therefore, we must find ways to skillfully navigate and work with the flow.
When it comes to our inner world, self-expression is akin to a water dam for the self. Stagnant water becomes infectious, unhealthy, and harmful, just as uncontrolled floods cause destruction. However, when water flows in the right quantity and direction, it sustains life and enriches it in numerous ways.
By regulating the flow of our thoughts, emotions, and ideas, which collectively form our sense of self, we can prevent overwhelming overflow. This allows us to effectively direct our energy, nurture relationships, and foster personal growth.

Abraham Maslow, a renowned American psychologist, proposed a famous theory of human motivation based on a hierarchy of needs. His concept of self-actualization aligns closely with the essence of self-expression. It denotes the stage at which individuals utilize their unique talents and abilities in tasks they are best suited for.
